Summer Brights

Hi everyone! This was my outfit yesterday when I went to Bonifacio High Street and spent the afternoon drinking my Strawberry Surf Rider from Jamba Juice.

Topshop top, ZARA shorts, Tory Burch shoes, Miumiu Bag Sugarkissed Necklace, Michael Kors Watch

I just kept the whole outfit simple. It’s super hot around here lately so I decided to wear something light and breezy. I wore a neutral colored bag to balance out all the colors in my outfit. I also wore gold accessories to compliment the hardware on my shoes and on my bag.

… and of course I also brought with me my handy-dandy camera bag from Izzoshop! It’s sooooooooooo cute and functional! I also gave one away to my lucky blog winner in pink.

 What I love about this particular one is that it’s compact and sleek! It also has room for my charger and usb cord. In addition, it has pockets and a zip-up compartment for your cards etc.

It rained today. I took this picture when the sun was finally shining. Sorry for the squinty look on my pictures hehe  I had a hard time opening my eyes because the sun was directly above me! haha

Anyway, this is my casual outfit for the day, denim jeans cuffed at the bottom for that tailored look and a floral flowy top for that energy boost I need. This weekend, I’ve been dreading about finals week and how I have a lot of things to do before I go and visit my parents. But hey, after this week it’s my summer vacation already! wuhoo!

I hope this week turns out to be awesome for all of us! I would also want to Congratulate all of you who are graduating this March! Wow, job well done guys!

Get To Know Me Better: About Me Tag!

Hi everyone! Here’s a post for you to know me better! The questions are from the internet, I just typed in “about me tag”. Before I get started, I would like to mention that the pictures are not mine and are linked to their respective sources. The only picture I own in this post are the pictures of my dog and my siblings!

1. Do you have a middle name? Yes! XENIA is actually my middle name, Princess is my first name!

*** Middle name is not the same as “Mother’s maiden name”

2. What is your Favorite subject in school? I enjoy learning, so I don’t really have a specific favorite. I love Social Psychology, Theories of Personality, Critical Thinking and Comparative Anatomy!

3. Whats your Favorite drink? Cranberry Juice (Cran-grape, Cran-apple, Cran cherry), Coke light and as of the moment Hawaiian Milktea from Serenitea!

 
4. What is your Favorite song at the moment? Love on Top! haha

5. What would you name your kids?I haven’t thought about that yet but I want their names to have a Greek background like mine or………. I don’t really knoooooow! haha

6. Do you participate in any sports? I don’t really like running, since most of the sports I am aware of involve running— even a ball is too heavy for me! haha The safest for me would be badminton and brisk-WALKING??? hahaha

7. Favorite Book? I have tons. I love a lot of things so it’s really hard for me to choose just one but The Alchemist is really easy to read yet influential!

8. Favorite Color?Yellow, white, black, tiffany blue, cobalt blue and anything metallic!

9. Favorite Animal?Dog! I have a pet named Happy!

10. Favorite Perfume? At the moment: Viva La Juicy

11. Favorite Holiday? Christmaaaaassss!!!

12. Have you graduated high school? YES

13. Have you ever been out of the country?if so how many times? Yes, a couple of times

14. Do you speak any other language?Aside form Filipino my second language is American English. I also know how to speak in “Ilocano” (dialect)

15. How many siblings do you have? I have an older brother and a younger sister, yes, I’m a middle child. haha

16. What is your favorite store? I am fond of discovering new stores! I’m not one who’s really keen about brands. I think fashion is about mixing high-end and high-street brands with those that you usually see on the streets or stalls from flea market to thrift stores and the like.

18. Do you like school? I love learning! haha But studying for an exam is a different story

19. Favorite youtuber? I like to watch Beauty videos by Elle Fowler andMichelle Phan; Fashion Videos by Chriselle Lim!

20. Favorite movie?I think my favorite movie would be whatever it is that I’ve recently watched!haha However, I always crack up everytime I watch Karate Kid 2!

Color Blocked: Secondary Colors

Hi everyone! I decided to color block today using secondary colors; Green, violet, and orange. Secondary, meaning they came from the combination of primary colors; Red, yellow and blue.

Blue and yellow= Green

Red and Blue= Violet

Red and yellow= Orange

As much as I love throwing on clothes and being surprised at the result of my playfulness, I also want my outfit to have a logical and scientific-al background. I know some of you might think  there’s nothing scientific about colors but….I hope you get my point! haha (chemical change has something to do with color, staining a specimen under the microscope has something to do with color, etc.)

Who would have known that I put this outfit together having that in mind? really…haha

If you want to wear something comfortable, I’d say go for something like this, simple but poppin’, just a shirt and a pair of leggings! Then just glam it up with accessories— necklace, shoes, arm candies and you’re good to go.

You don’t have to wear skimpy clothes just to show off your assets, sometimes being all covered up is more alluring! Try showing off your shoulders by wearing t-shirts and long sleeved tops that drape on one side as an alternative to spaghetti straps or tube tops! The one shoulder effect spells effortless chic! Plus you won’t be too self- conscious about straps coming off or tube tops falling or getting lower and lower, haha

This pair was sent to me by Genny Saints, a budding retailer that sells stylish and affordable shoes.

What I love the print on the shoes and the  fact that it’s a wedge made me think about the possibilities I can dress this baby up or down! This particular would be a nice touch of color and personality to any outfit that is gearing towards blah— and I hope nobody wants a blah outfit!haha

 I love that they are wedges and are of reasonable height for that comfort factor I’m looking for especially when it comes to my everyday footwear! I can wear this pair to school, to church, to shoots, to anywhere I’ll be standing and walking— the list goes on!

Plus it was in this bag when it arrived which is pretty nifty, this way I can bring it anywhere and not have to find an extra plastic bag or ziploc for it. haha

Let’s start the week by feeling comfortable! I’m sporting a fun summer ready outfit to greet the hot weather in the Philippines! I added pops of blue to give a cool dimension to the outfit and paired my closed wedges for an extra depth of color and of course height. What do you think?
